Creche Program

Grade 1
Programs

At PMAK Academy, Grade 1 students engage in advanced numeracy and studies to build strong academic foundations.

They work on addition, subtraction, and simple multiplication, enhancing their math skills. In science, they explore basic concepts of the natural world through hands-on experiments.

Reading comprehension activities improve their vocabulary and critical thinking, while social studies introduces them to community and geography. These activities promote curiosity and a deeper understanding of key subjects.

Curriculum Goals

At PMAK Academy, we believe that our curriculum should be well-rounded, engaging, and relevant to the needs of our learners. PMAK Academy’s curriculum is based on a strong educational foundation, enriched with additional learning experiences to complement and extend the core curriculum. These extra opportunities ensure that every child has a well-rounded education. For example:

a. Drama and Performing Arts

Here at PMAK, we also will be celebrating creativity by offering drama lessons and opportunities for musical development. Students participate in performances and develop their musical skills through lessons and the chance to learn an instrument, fostering self-expression and confidence.

b. Activities and Sports

At PMAK Academy, we encourage physical activity and healthy competition. Our games lessons focus on the major sports to equip learners with motor skills.

c. Lifeskills

We promote an active lifestyle through additional LifeSkills teaching integrated into the timetable, ensuring students have plenty of opportunities to stay active and healthy.

d. Individualized Learning

Recognizing that every child is unique, PMAK Academy tailors its teaching to meet individual needs. Upon joining, each student is informally assessed by their class teacher to determine their current level. Specific improvement goals are set, and if additional support or challenges are required, our Personalized Learning Department will provide targeted assistance. This provision is continuously monitored to ensure each child receives the best possible support.

We cultivate a sense of environmental appreciation in our students, encouraging them to respect and protect the natural world. Outdoor learning fosters a deeper connection to the environment and instills a sense of responsibility towards preserving it for future generations.
